MALTA AND THE SICILIAN BAROQUE

5 DAYS

DAY 1:
Arrival in Malta. Transfer by bus to the hotel and accommodation in private rooms.

DAY 2:
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by bus to visit Valletta.
The doors of Renzo Piano and the Barrakka Gardens, built atop the defensive bastions that surround the city, will welcome us. The tour continues with a visit to St. John’s Co-Cathedral and its Museum.
To be admired there are notable masterpieces such as “The Beheading of St. John” by Caravaggio.
Return to the hotel, afternoon at leisure.
Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3:
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion in Sicily.
Arrival to Pozzallo and departure by bus to Modica. Meeting with the guide and visit of the old town where you can admire the churches of the late Baroque period and the winding alleyways.
In 2002, Modica was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its historical centre, with its baroque architecture. In the afternoon transfer to Ragusa Ibla, the historical part of the city of Ragusa, and visit at leisure of the historic centre.
In the evening departure to Pozzallo, and return to Malta.
Overnight stay.

DAY 4:
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning and lunch at leisure.
In the afternoon departure by bus and boarding for the mini-cruise on the Grand Harbour, the natural harbour of Valletta. A paradise for photography lovers.
At the end free time in Sliema, the capital of Maltese shopping. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5:
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport/port.
